Center Cinema Press : The ceremony of introducing the best foreign language film of the Legend of Life Academy began at noon today with the speech of the chairman of the ceremony at the New Wave Hall of the Legend of Life Academy

Sajjad Asghari , the founder of Iran’s largest independent cinema event, said: “Today we are going to introduce the best foreign language film of the sixth round of the Legend of Life Academy ceremony, which consists of the members of the selection and judging committee and the advisory team who are experts in the field of feature films, documentaries and short films. Thank you very much, this course, according to the general conditions of society, the Policy Council of the Legend of Life Academy decided to only introduce the best foreign language film

Then Sajjad Asghari said about the seven films that were nominated in the international section: The seven films that were nominated by the international section council of the ceremony were selected from among the productions of world cinema and focused on group A festivals, and then the seven candidates in the international section The International announced the best foreign language film

• The movie (Argentina, 1985) directed by (Santiago Mitre) from Argentina
• The movie (There is no news on the Western Front) directed by (Edward Berger) from Germany
• The film (RRRR) directed by (SS Rajamouli) from India
• The film (E.O.) directed by (Jergyi Skolimowski) from Poland
• The movie (Decision to Leave) directed by (Park Chan-wook) from South Korea
• The movie (Quiet Girl) directed by (Callum Breed) from Ireland
• The movie (Joyland) directed by (Saim Sadiq) from Pakistan

Among the seven candidates, the film (  There is no news on the Western Front ) directed by Edward Berger from Germany was nominated as the best foreign language film

In addition, Sajjad Asghari said: In the documentary and short film section, we tried to pay attention to the international festivals in the country, apart from the famous festivals of the world, as much as possible, we made the selection with the international perspective that the Legend of Life Academy has on the films

And in the documentary section, among the three candidates: ۱٫ “All Beauty and Blood” directed by “Laurapoitres” from America

۲٫ “Fire of Love” directed by “Sara Dosa” from America and Canada

۳٫ “Apollonia, Apollonia” directed by “Leaglobe” from Denmark and Poland

The film “Fire of Love” produced by America and Canada was announced as the best foreign language film

And in the short film section, among the three candidates :

۱٫ The animated film “Lack” directed by Marc Herricher from France

۲٫ The experimental film “Gravity Pool” directed by Jonathan Pae from France

۳٫ The feature film “Old Windows” directed by Mitham Rida from England

The animated film *Faqdan* from France was announced as the best foreign language film

Further, Sajjad Asghari said about the awarding of the sculpture and the certificate of appreciation of the Legend of Life Academy as a symbol of peace and friendship of mankind for a better life, he said: the title of our event is taken from the Marlik Legend of Life Cup, which is more than 3400 years old and is a visual art of life. For this reason, the statue of the Legend of Life Academy was jointly presented to the presidents of Ukraine and Russia for achieving peace and friendship on the first anniversary of the war between the two countries, and the commendation certificate of the sixth edition of the Legend of Life Academy ceremony was also presented to Rakhshan Bani Etamed, a prominent cinema director. Iran was presented

And at the end, thank you to the executive secretary of the event, Ms. Shida Hemmati, for planning and coordinating the event and the people of cinema and critics, as well as all the people of the media who have been with the international event of the legend of the legend of life as the biggest independent event of Iranian cinema since the first round. The best foreign language film of the fifth round was  “Drive My Car” by  Ryosuki  Hamaguchi from Japan .
