The movie “Anora” is the story of a young woman from Brooklyn who, when she meets the son of an oligarch and suddenly marries him, considers her luck to be like Cinderella’s, but when news of her marriage reaches Russia, her fantasies are shattered as her parents head to New York to annul the marriage

Mikey Madison plays the role of “Anora” and Yuri Borisov plays the role in this film

It is worth noting that the honorary Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival was awarded to George Lucas, a famous American filmmaker and producer. Lucas was introduced with works such as “American Graffiti” and “THX 1138”, but it was the film “Star Wars” that made him one of the most important figures in the history of cinema and created a wave of blockbuster works from the 1980s onwards. Francis Ford Coppola, who was in competition with “Megalopolis”, also visited his old friend. Lucas and Coppola founded the American Zoetrope Studio in the 1970s, and Lucas practically began his career in cinema as an assistant to Coppola

According to this report, the 77th Cannes Film Festival was also held in the competitive (main), non-competitive (parallel) sections, Directors’ Fortnight, International Critics’ Week, Marché du Film (Cannes Film Market), Short Film Corner (a market specifically for short films), master classes, and tributes in the festival palaces and congresses

Lily Gladstone, Eva Green, Omar Sy, Ebro Ceylan, Nadine Labaki, Juan Antonio Bayona, Pierfrancesco Favino, and Hirokazu Koreida were members of the jury for the festival’s main competition section, and American director Greta Gerwig also chaired the jury for this edition
