The jury of the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival, consisting of Jiang Wen, director and actor, and chairman of the jury from China, Zhang Jen, actor from Taiwan, China, Ildiko Enidi, director and screenwriter from Hungary, Semih Kaplanoglu, director, screenwriter, producer from Turkey, David Permot, producer from the United States, Qin Hai Lu, actor, screenwriter, producer from China, and He Lai Jemei from Japan, announced the awards for this round of the festival as follows
An animated feature film titled Makiya: When the Promised Flower Blooms from Japan, directed by Mari Okada, won the Golden Goblet for Best Animated Film
The Golden Goblet Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival in the documentary category went to the film Long Season from the Netherlands, directed by Leonard Rattel Helmrich
The Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival went to the film Carnivores, a joint work from France and Belgium, directed by Jérôme Rainier and Yannick Rainier
The Chinese film Ala Changsu, directed by Suntar Gyal, won the Best Screenplay award at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival
The Best Cinematography Award at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival went to the American film Friday’s Child
The Best Actress award at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival went to Isabelle Béla for the Canadian film Tadoussac, directed by Martin Laroche
The Best Actor award at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival went to Ty Sheridan for the American film Friday’s Child
The Best Director Award at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival went to the Cuban-Canadian film Translator, a joint work by Rodrigo Barrioso and Sebastian Barrioso
