Introducing the winners of the Fajr International Film Festival

According to Afsaneh Zendegi Media; On the evening of Tuesday, December 1, the closing ceremony of the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival was held in the Art City of Aftab, Shiraz
In the ceremony, which was accompanied by speeches by Rouhollah Hosseini, the festival secretary, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Hossein Ali Amiri, the Governor of Shiraz, and Raed Faridzadeh, the head of the Cinema Organization, the winners in various categories were introduced

The ceremony was hosted by Farzad Hassani, and Mohammad Motamedi performed in parts of the ceremony
The ceremony included a tribute to Reza Mirkarimi and Alfred Yaghoubzadeh
After a video of Reza Mirkarimi was shown, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mahmoud Kalari, a well-known cinematographer, and Kamal Tabrizi, a director of Iranian cinema, came on stage to pay tribute to Reza Mirkarimi
Mirkarimi said in a short speech: I express my happiness that the Fajr International Film Festival is being held independently. I am also happy that it is being held outside the capital and in a very suitable place in the city of Shiraz. I wish the best for the future of this festival, I have dedicated part of my life to this festival and I cannot be indifferent. I hope that the festival will be held more magnificently every year. This is a non-political and cultural circle with world cinema that is based on our greatest advantage, which is cinema. Cinema is our best achievement after the revolution. Our cinema is outstanding in the region and has something to say in the world

Introduction of the winners of the photo and video section
In the presence of Alfred Yaghoubzadeh, Behrouz Shoaibi and Majid Saeedi, the winners of the photo and video section were introduced
The honorary diploma for the best effect in the 60-second film section was awarded to Ali Tavasoli
The Simorgh for the best photo was awarded to Sobhan Farajvan
The 60-second film of the photo and video section was then shown to the audience
Introducing the winners of the Broken Olive section
Next, the winners of the Broken Olive section were introduced, and the honorary diploma of this section was awarded to “From Ground Zero” produced by Rashid Masharawy, a product of Palestine, Qatar, Switzerland and Denmark
The Simorgh for the best film was awarded to “What’s Left of You” directed by Shirin Dabeis, a co-production of Germany, Cyprus, Palestine, Jordan, Greece, Qatar and Saudi Arabia
Rashid Masharawy stated in a video message he sent: “I am from Palestine, the founder and artistic supervisor of a school in Palestine. I am happy that this film has been selected in one of the most important sections of the festival. I thank the judges for considering this film worthy of the award. This award encourages the residents of Gaza to make films and believe that cinema can be their savior. I wish everyone good days
Awarding of the Visionary Section Awards
After the video of the Visionary Section judges was shown, the judges came on stage
The Crystal Simorgh, a special jury award, was awarded to the film “Riverstone” from Sri Lanka, directed by Eliot Ratnayake
At the ceremony, it was announced that the Crystal Simorgh for Best Film would be awarded jointly to two works and the cash prize would be divided between them
The first Simorgh was awarded to “Round 13” from Tunisia, directed by Mohammad Ali Nahdi and produced by Malik Kochbaty
Awarding of the International Competition Section Awards
Following the ceremony, the International Competition judges took to the stage
In this section, the Simorgh for Best Film was awarded to “Lessons Learned” directed by Balint Simler from Hungary
The Simorgh for Best Director was awarded to “March to May” directed by Martin Pavel Repka from the Czech Republic
The Simorgh for Best Screenplay went to “Look at Me” by Elena Kiseleva and Andrey Konchalovsky, directed by Vladimir Grammatikov from Russia
The Simorgh for Best Artistic Contribution (Artistic Achievement) went to Ahmed Malek, actor in “The Smell of My Father”
The Simorgh Special Jury Prize went to “The Return of the River,” directed by Masakazu Kaneko and produced by Japan. The award was received by Mayumi Fukuhara, the film’s producer
